Flipebooks is committed to making digital publishing accessible to everyone. We design and build our platform to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.
We believe that interactive flipbooks should be usable by all people, regardless of ability. Our platform is built with accessibility as a core requirement — not an afterthought. We continuously test with automated tools (axe-core), manual keyboard navigation, and screen readers.
Every flipbook page receives automatically generated descriptive alt text, making content accessible to screen reader users.
Navigate flipbooks, forms, and all interactive elements entirely with the keyboard. Arrow keys, Tab, and shortcuts all work.
ARIA landmarks, roles, and live regions announce page transitions, loading states, and form submissions.
A toggle panel in the viewer displays the extracted text and alt text for each page, readable by assistive technologies.
All text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting, ensuring a comfortable experience for motion-sensitive users.
